I was born and raised in sunny southern California. My parents are immigrants from the Netherlands (aka Holland) and are still very Dutch! As a teenager, my church helped me see that I was part of a greater story, that God is awesome (seriously) and wants to help us grow to have a healthy understanding of Him, who we are, others and this world. During visits back to the cold and rainy country of my parents, it became evident that many churches in Holland were dying (literally). Among other things, those trips to Holland helped me realize that I loved Holland and that a huge need existed in regards to discipleship and youth ministry. I graduated from Biola University with bachelor degrees in Christian Ministries and Psychology. After college I finally moved to Holland! I finished my master's in Child and Adolescent Psychology in Leiden and joined CA as bivocational staff. I was a part of Crossroads Leiden (a CA church plant) for about 7 years, doing youth and student ministry. In June 2014 I married my Dutch man and moved to another part of Holland (Zwolle). I am now enjoying shepherding people toward their calling via recruiting and further investing my life here.
Besides God, my husband and Holland, I also love... bike rides in the countryside, spiritual formation, reading, the sun, prayer, good movies, photography, friends, family, 'gezelligheid,' etc.
