Bio/Description: Douglas Molgaard is a 1988 graduate of Christ for the Nations Institute in Dallas TX. He is ordained with the Churches of God General Conference. He was married in May 1991 to Anna-Karin Fransson in Sweden. They have 3 daughters, Thyra, Sarah and Emma.

In 1989 Douglas begin his mission calling in Europe attending Eurasia Teen Challenge School of Missions in Sweden.

January 1st 1990 Douglas moved to Mainz Germany. Through a church in Mainz, Douglas was involved with a team that started a relief organization for the purpose of spreading the Gospel to Eastern Europe. They took millions of dollars worth of relief to orphanages, hospitals, and churches, and thousands of Bibles. Douglas took teams for evangelization through Eastern Europe and saw hundreds of people come to know Jesus. This ministry also led to two churches planted in Rumania.

At the end of 1991 Douglas and his wife Anna-Karin felt the call to move to Gothenburg Sweden. During the 10 years they were in Sweden they worked with evangelism, church planting and facilitating. Douglas also worked with a homeless shelter.

In the mid-90’s Douglas also traveled throughout Europe as the evangelist for a group called Zoe Band. Zoe Band was a gospel music group that traveled as a mission team throughout the world. Douglas traveled with them to the Ukraine several times to Poland and Germany also to Belgium and in Sweden to many different churches. The salvation of the lost was the focus but also to see renewal come to the body of Christ.

After 12 years of Ministry in Europe, Douglas and his family decided it was time for a furlough and in December 2001 moved back home to Pennsylvania where he worked as a Chaplain in the CGGC Allegheny Region Conference Nursing Homes and a pastor of a local Church. Also during this time he studied the cultural shifts from modernism to post-modernism, emerging missional theology, and European philosophies.

Douglas and his family returned to Sweden in 2005 as missionaries through the Churches of God General Conference Cross-cultural Ministries. They have worked in partnership with InterAct a Swedish denomination/organization. They initiated a church plant in Gothenburg and together with a mother church planted New Life Göteborg. Douglas and Anna-Karin also started a childrens ministry call Faith Factory that ministered to 40-70 children for about 3 years.

Since 2009 Douglas has initiated and is working with a network called SMOC, (simple, missional, organic, communities). Through this network he has been assisting the Christian Associates project H2O in Gothenburg Sweden.

In 2011 Douglas and Anna-Karin with the CGGC Cross-Cultural Ministries became affiliate missionaries with Christian Associates and is now part of the H2O team in Gothenburg Sweden.
