Bio/Description: We live in SE Portland with our two daughters Andrea and Jenn, and two dogs. This place reminds us of northern Europe in terms of its postmodern flavor and concern for social welfare/justice issues. It is representative of more and more urban centers across America, all in need of new kinds of Kingdom-minded, missional churches. Prior to arriving in Portland in 2006, we served 18 years in Holland as missionaries, church-planters and project coaches.

Dan worked as the founding pastor of Crossroads International Church of The Hague, and now serves as CA's North America Director. He holds a Doctor of Ministry in Leadership in the Emerging Culture from George Fox Seminary.   Ann is originally from Canada and loves people work. She has recently taken the HR leadership role for CA. Besides spending time with our kids, we are passionate about sustainable living practices that honor God and His creation while promoting good stewardship. We are currently participating in a local CA missional initiative in our neighborhood which we hope will grow into a new church community.

A little known fact about us is that we met in Mexico on a short-term missions trip and spent our first anniversary in a grass hut in Uganda!
