We are working to create and maintain healthy community. Fostering mutual relationships and encouraging our friends in relationship with each other. Trying to model characteristics of Jesus: love, trust, generosity, humility, forgiveness, grace, and patience. Focusing on our gifts of hospitality to create comfortable spaces and environments for these things to take place.

We are passionate about empowering local leaders by providing them with resources and encouraging them in their spiritual giftings.

"Christianity did not begin with a confession. It began with an invitation into friendship, into creating a new community, into forming relationships based on love and service."
- Diana Butler Bass, Grounded: Finding God in the World-A Spiritual Revolution

We are also passionate about agriculture, food, and sustainability. It is our belief that loving the creator means loving the creation, so we are also actively working on a farm and looking for ways to live more sustainably. This ties nicely into our giftedness of hospitality, we are passionate about the ‘table’ and what happens around it. The whole experience of community (or communion) around a table is a spiritual act much like prayer. For when we listen attentively to the people and the world around us, we are connecting to something greater.

"Eating joins people to each other, to other creatures and the world, and to God through forms of “natural communion” too complex to fathom."
-Norman Wirzba, Food and Faith: A Theology of Eating

"At our doors, we craft practices of welcome; at the table we craft practices of thankfulness. Doors and tables offer the promise of community."
-Diana Butler-Bass, Grounded: Finding God in the World-A Spiritual Revolution
