A report from our Latin America Director, Steve Adams

After visiting Communitas church Sampa Community Church in Sao Paolo, today I boarded a plane to Brasilia, where this weekend we will be holding our Latin America "Connect" conference. Our theme is "Hope in Challenging Times: How do we find it and share it."

When we first started planning it many months ago, our hope was that we would have 30-40 people in attendance. I'm so excited to report that we will have about 60, coming from seven of our projects across Latin America. Not only will we have our primary project leaders, but also key volunteer leaders from each project as well. Our desire is to see significant cross-regional relationships develop, so that ideas, encouragement, and prayer will organically flow between our projects.

Please pray not only for those connections, but also that each participant will hear from God in a fresh way, that they will be inspired and challenged by the messages and workshops, and that they will return home with a renewed passion to make a difference in their homes, neighborhoods, workplaces, and cities.

Thanks for your partnership in establishing churches like these, who are extending Christ's love and grace -- in word and in deed -- across Latin America.
